Mahopac Man Faces Drug Charges After Traffic Stop In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Michael Evans, a 31-year-old Mahopac resident, has been charged after he was accused of possession of 4.7 grams of Adderall on Monday, according to Yorktown police.

Police said an officer was on routine patrol when he observed a 2005 Infinity traveling north on Lee Blvd with illegally tinted windows. A traffic stop was conducted and further investigation revealed the presence of the drug.

Evans was arrested and transported to Yorktown police headquarters for processing.

He was arraigned and released on $2,500 cash bail. Evans is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday at 6 p.m.
