YORKTOWN, N.Y. A Bronx man was arrested and charged after police officers found he was allegedly in unlawful possession of 180 pills of Oxycodone last Tuesday, police said.
Wilfredo Santos, 37, faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, after reporting to CVS Pharmacy in Mohegan Lake to investigate a forged prescription, according to police.
Santos was remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
Other news from the Yorktown Police Department:
- A 23-year-old man from Mahopac was charged with bail jumping, a misdemeanor, after failing to appear in Yorktown Court in January for an aggravated unlicensed operation charge, police said.
New York State Police said Robert McMahon was stopped for a traffic infraction on the Taconic State Parkway, when they learned there was a bench warrant issued by Yorktown Justice Court. McMahon had originally been charged by Yorktown Police with aggravated unlicensed operation, police said. McMahon was arraigned and released on $1,000 cash bail.
- A routine traffic stop after a car was speeding on Route 6 in Yorktown led to the arrest of a Harrison resident who was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
On Feb. 13, police said officers saw Christpher Humphries, 26, speeding and found he was in possession of marijuana. Humphries was arrested and released without bail. He was issued numerous uniform traffic citations and an appearance ticket to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 15 at 6 p.m. for arraignment.
