An estimated 72 out of 6,461 NYSEG customers and 908 of 8,173 Con Edison customers were still without power in Yorktown as of 9 a.m., according to outage maps.

With a potential nor'easter heading to the area Wednesday night, Con Ed said it has added more crews for restoration and will have more than 3,000 utility workers working to repair damage throughout New York City and Westchester.

Current NYSEG maps predict a restoration time of 11 p.m. Wednesday. Con Ed maps show a restoration time of  1 p.m. Thursday, but the new storm could delay customer restorations, Con Ed said, since crews repairing overhead lines and equipment cannot work in high winds.
