New Water Main Break Causing Icy Conditions In Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Frigid temperatures continue to keep the City of Peekskill Water Department busy, as crews tend to the third break in as many days.

The City of Peekskill Police Department cautioned that crews from the water department are dealing with the latest water main break on Wednesday, this time on Park Street near the intersection of Grant Avenue.

Local residents may experience a significant decrease in water pressure in their homes as crews work in the area. Drivers in the area can also expect possibly icy conditions as temperatures continue to drop in the area in advance of the expected storm.

A major water main break on New Year's Day led to extremely low water pressure for residents throughout the city and kept Lower South Street closed overnight due to icing.
