NRC Issues Inspection Report On Indian Point Unit 3

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has completed an inspection at Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit 3.

The inspector examined activities conducted by the Entergy staff to complete commitments Entergy made as part of its application for a renewed facility operating license Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit 3.

The inspection report was sent in a letter to Lawrence Coyle, site vice president, Entergy Nuclear Operations. 

It documents the results of the commission's review of the completed actions for six license renewal commitments, Entergy's commitments management program, and compliance, which were discussed on Oct. 9, with members of the Entergy staff, the letter says.

The inspector examined activities conducted by the Entergy staff to complete commitments Entergy made as part of its application for a renewed facility operating license. 

The inspector also reviewed selected procedures, records, and interviewed personnel. 

No findings were identified during this inspection. 

The NRC determined that the commitments reviewed associated with the license renewal application had been appropriately implemented.
