YORKTOWN, N.Y. A 24-year-old man who allegedly failed to appear in court for a burglary charge in Oklahoma was arrested in Yorktown.
Yorktown Police arrested Jeffery Jordan, who is listed as homeless, for the charge of fugitive from justice, a felony, after they found there was a warrant out for his arrest issued by the District Court of Payne County, state of Oklahoma. Police found Jordan on Dec. 10 after responding to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Horton Road.
The Payne County Sheriffs Office told Yorktown police they will have Jordan extradited to Oklahoma. He was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail.
