UPDATE, 6 p.m.: The tree was cleared and the roadway re-opened to traffic, according to the State Department of Transportation
YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A section of Route 35 in Yorktown has been closed to traffic in both directions because of a downed tree, according the State Department of Transportation.
The highway closed near Ridge Street around 4 p.m. and is expected to remain closed for four hours. The Department of Transportation is asking drivers to look for alternate routes until the area is cleared.
