State Champion Ossining High School Hoops Team Regroups

OSSINING, N.Y. -- With the graduation of six key players, the Ossining High School baketball team, which finished 23-3 and won the Section 1 Class AA title for the fifth time in a row and third New York State championship in March, has regrouped, according to theexaminernewscom.

The six were among the Pride's "best players" ever. Still, coach Dan Ricci, serving his 24th season, has brought back starter Shadeen Samuels, who scored on average 19.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.6 steals per game, and is considered the team's most-rounded player, the theexaminernews.com says.

Additionally, returning seniors include Gabby Ferrao and Alexis Bernardo, as well as sophomore Helen Ishmael, according to the report.
