YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- Residents concerns with the halted paving on Route 202 were answered at Tuesday nights board meeting.
Supervisor Susan Siegel began Tuesdays meeting with a report of updates, and the first item she discussed was the concerns that people have had in regards to the road paving.
Siegel said shes been asked why the paving on Route 202 seems to have stopped at around Granite Spring Road, and the problem has been resolved.
My office called today to find out what the problem was because they were supposed to go all the way to the triangle shopping [center] light, Siegel said. For some technical reason that we didnt bother to ask, the state issued a stop-work order which has now been resolved and so the contractor expects to the work to start in a few weeks.
The project is a state project, and Siegel said it certainly will continue.
Has the halted paving project caused any problems while driving? What do you think of the newly paved roads? Tell us in the comments.
