Supervisor Siegel to Speak at Yorktown Chamber

This morning marks the first of a series of interviews the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce will host with candidates running for Yorktown Office.

The interviews begin with Supervisor Susan Siegel at 8 a.m. today.

Although the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce always hosts the candidate debates, this is the first year the chamber has hosted the interviews beforehand. The debate and interviews are an essential way to inform the community about the specific issues and opinions of a candidate, said chamber president, Joseph Visconti.

“We want to get their positions out so that the voters are informed,” he said. “This way, everybody will be getting an education before they vote.”

The chamber will host these interviews for the positions of supervisor, town council, and county legislator.
