YORKTOWN, N.Y. Support Connection Inc. will host a Kick-Off Breakfast July 28 for its annual Support-A-Walk for breast and ovarian cancer.
The nonprofit organization, which gives free, confidential aid to those affected by breast and ovarian cancer, will host the breakfast from 9-11 a.m. at the North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing Center in Mohegan Lake. The breakfast will be buffet-style and all guests in attendance will receive information about the 18th annual walk that will take place Oct. 7 at FDR Park in Yorktown Heights.
Guests will receive brochures, fliers and other materials about the walk and will hear from previous participants about how to organize teams, collect donations and create a fundraising page online here .
Support Connection has the 3-mile walk-a-thon each year to raise awareness for breast and ovarian cancer. Proceeds from the walk benefit Support Connection. More information about the nonprofit is available here .
