ALBANY, N.Y. - State Supreme Court Judge Carl Landicino, a Yorktown Heights resident, pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge, according to the Albany County District Attorney's Office.

On Oct. 17, 2012 , Landicino, 47, a justice in the Second Judicial District, was seen by state troopers driving aggressively in the Albany suburb of Colonie and was stopped about 4:06 p.m. on southbound Interstate 87, police said.

Troopers noticed signs of impairment and asked Landicino to submit to a field sobriety test, which police said he failed. Landicino then refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the alcohol content of his blood. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic charges, according to police.

In addition to pleading guilty, Landicino was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge requiring him to successfully complete substance abuse treatment, pay a $500 fine, have an ignition interlock device installed on his vehicle, attend a victim impact panel and drinking driver program, and have his license suspended for a period of six months.
