- According to unofficial election results from the Westchester County Board of Elections, Susan Siegel leads Tom Diana 5,543 votes to 5,414 votes, 51 percent to 49 percent, with 100 percent of the vote counted.
- One IBM employee was taken to the hospital after being exposed to cyanide, according to Lt. Kevin Soravilla of the Yorktown police.
- Republican Terrence Murphy defeated Democrat Justin Wagner in the race for the 40th State Senate District.
- Westchester County had seven different school districts in the top 25 rankings of best public school systems, according to Niche, an education website dedicated to providing rankings and systems on school districts throughout the country.
