Suspended Registrations Lead to Yorktown Arrests

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Buchanan man and a Cold Spring woman were arrested and charged with driving with suspended registrations and uninsured vehicles during two separate traffic stops by Yorktown Police this week.

On April 2 at 10:45 a.m., Officer Michael Kahn charged David Feller, 53, with a misdemeanor registration offense following a stop on Route 6. On April 3 at 8:30 a.m., Officer Tommy Nadoraski charged Christine Peterson, 37, with the same registration offense, along with aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, of a 2005 Jeep, following a stop on Route 202.

In other police activity:

March 23: 4:52 p.m., a subject was reported driving a quad erratically in the parking lot of Lakeland High School. 9:44 p.m., a Quinlan Street resident reported a squirrel running around her house that she couldn't catch.

March 24: 3:47 p.m., a Lexington Avenue resident reported hearing the sound of air rushing through his house that is coming from the attic. 10 p.m., a Kip Court resident reported windows damaged by neighborhood children.

March 25: 8:54 a.m., a Jefferson Oval resident reported she and her dog were attacked by a loose dog. 11 p.m., a Strang Boulevard resident reported hearing gunshots.

March 26: 9 a.m., a Curry Honda employee reported larceny of wheels and tires, Route 202. 3:03 p.m., a caller reported a female on a cell phone passed his granddaughter's stopped school bus on East Main Street.

March 29: 9:07 a.m., report of a tree down across a roadway, Saw Mill River Road/Old Country Way. 6:05 p.m., a Cording Road resident reported someone came to house stating they were from the Jefferson Valley Police.

March 30: 1:07 p.m., an Erin Court resident reported unknown subjects came into her residence and startled her. When she yelled to them they answered but she didn't recognize the voices. It turned out to be cleaning people. 4:37 p.m., a Crompond School employee reported a 12-year-old with a fractured arm. The child was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital by YVAC.

March 31: 1:39 p.m., a Sultana Drive resident reported a large raccoon in his backyard that wasn’t moving. Dead on arrival. 1:57 p.m., a caller reported larceny of an iPhone from the food court at Jefferson Valley Mall the day before.
