Michelle Cio, of Tarrytown, was traveling southbound in her 2006 Honda Civic in the center northbound lane when she collided head-on with a 2007 Audi around 12:20 a.m., state police in Hawthorne reported Saturday. Cio was pronounced dead at the scene while Audi driver 26-year-old Alicia Asadoorian, of Yorktown Heights, was transported to Westchester Medical Center, according to state police.

"Further investigation revealed the driver of the Audi was in possession of approximately 5.3 grams of marihuana," state police reported.

Charges are dependent upon toxicology results, state police said, but it was unknown Saturday where Cio entered the Taconic State Parkway.
