YORKTOWN, N.Y. A 19-year-old Mahopac man was charged with marijuana possession after a traffic stop by Yorktown police on Saturday, April 7, on East Main Street.
Ian McGuire was pulled over about 2:35 a.m. for a traffic violation and had more than 25 grams of marijuana, police said. He was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. He received an appearance ticket and was released on $100 bail. McGuire is due May 8 in Yorktown Town Court.

Phone Scam: A Jefferson Oval resident reported being annoyed by phone calls at 8:42 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, from a company in India asking for money.
Credit Card Fraud: A California Road resident reported at 10:57 p.m. April 4 that someone was using his credit card number throughout the area.
Suspicious Vehicle: A Birdsall Drive resident reported a vehicle parked on the corner at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, April 5, with something rotating on its roof.
Trespassing: A Loring Place resident reported at 5:14 p.m. April 5 that a neighbor's son rides his motor bike through his backyard when he was asked not to.
Threatening Letters: A Meadow Crest Drive resident reported receiving threatening letters at 5:42 p.m. April 5.
Stolen Jewelry: A Lake Ridge Cove resident reported at 12:54 p.m. Friday, April 6, that she had just arrived home and found a friend rummaging through her belongings. She said jewelry had been stolen.
Speeding: Police Officer William Olli issued a summons for speeding on Crow Hill Road at 6:15 p.m. April 6.
Racing Cars: Police received a report of cars racing on Old Crompond Road at 12:06 a.m. Saturday, April 7.
Missing Teens: Phoenix House Academy on Stony Street reported three missing 16-year-olds at 3:33 p.m. April 7.
Trash Fire: A trash bin fire at Underhill Plaza was reported at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday, April 10.
Groundhog Hurt: An injured groundhog in Defoe, Conn., was reported at 9:39 a.m. April 10. The animal was destroyed.
Nighttime Prowler: A Dunning Drive resident reported at 11:30 p.m. April 10 that someone had flashed a light in her windows for 15 minutes.
