YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Two teens were arrested by Yorktown Police after they allegedly broke into a home, stole jewelry and sold it to a gold broker.
Kayla Boniello, 17, from Mahopac, was charged with criminal possession of stolen goods, a misdemeanor. Montana Bernard, 16, from Jefferson Valley, was charged with burglary in the second degree, a felony, and criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.
According to police reports, a local resident alerted police that her house had been broken in to on July 25. The two girls voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on August 11.

- Eileen Handler, 49, of Douglas Drive, was arrested for criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a misdemeanor, after she allegedly chocked another female.
- Lisa Marie Burhans, 41, of Lookout Drive in Mohegan Lake, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, a suspended registration, and uninsured motor vehicles after a police license reader identified that her 1996 Dodge had a suspended New York State registration on August 10 at 10:16 a.m. She was issued an appearance ticket and released on $250 bail. She is due to appear in court on September 13 at 6 p.m.
