YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Concrete barriers have been removed and three-lane traffic has returned to much of the southbound Taconic State Parkway following the completion of the northbound AMVETS Bridge.

Three lanes have been reopened from the bridge over the Croton Reservoir and continuing southbound on the Taconic. However, the highway leading up to the bridge still has two lanes and a concrete barrier.

Sue Stepp, Hudson Valley regional spokesperson for the state Department of Transportation, said the barriers are scheduled to be removed by Friday at the latest.

How has the traffic been on the Taconic since the completion of the bridge? Let us know on our Facebook page.
