YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Town of Yorktown entered the digital age Thursday with the creation of an official Facebook page.

"It will be used to keep residents apprised of updates in emergency situations -- like the pair of jolting meteorological events that linked October to November -- and general information of use to Yorktowners," said Bruce Apar, chair of Yorktown Organizations United (YOUnited).
