Gammer and Sai are organizing the event as a part of their civic internship with Support Connection. Through their civic internship, Gammer and Sai have been learning the chief skills for event planning from their Support Connection mentors, Executive Director Katherine Quinn, and Administrative and Business Coordinator Christine Katt.

“We are so grateful to our young interns for engaging the community in this healthy, fun-filled evening, " said Quinn. "Everyone at Support Connection is very excited to see the Dance-A-Thon come to fruition at the end of February.”

At this family friendly event, people of all ages will enjoy dancing through the decades while having the chance to win a variety of prizes. Music will be provided by Bobby Barden (DJ Bobby B), a Yorktown High School Student. Food will be available.

“We believe that the Dance-A-Thon is the perfect way to unite our community while raising funds for Support Connection’s free breast and ovarian cancer support services,” said Gammer and Sai.

Preregistration is encouraged for dancers and spectators. Cost of admission is a $10 donation, with a reduced donation of $5 for children under 10. To register, visit http://scdanceathon.bpt.me.
