WESTCHESTER, N.Y. – Westchester County Airport was shut down Sunday around 6:30 p.m. while police investigated an unknown threat, according to police.
Westchester County Police said around 7 p.m. that the airport was in the process of reopening.
Police said the Westchester County Hazardous Devices Unit was called in and determined the issue a non-threat.
Eyewitnesses at the airport have reported that the airport entrance was blocked by police cars and that police, ambulance and fire vehicles were at the scene.
