WHITE PLAINS N.Y. – Crowds of shoppers packed the shopping malls and centers in White Plains Friday looking for holiday deals and bargains.

Parking garages were full to capacity as customers rushed to stores with the biggest Black Friday deals. Mamaroneck residents Shaina Campbell and Jesus and Antonio Estrada took to the Galleria in search of items for the upcoming winter season, including boots and jackets.

Though the trio didn't see many deals on clothes they still had a successful outing on the annual day of shopping frenzy.

“Even though we started late we still found what we were looking for,” Jesus Estrada said. “We ate a lot of turkey and are coming in hung over and shopping.”

Although Campbell was unsuccessful in finding the boots she wanted she did find a sweater for $15.

White Plains residents Gerard and Melesia Simons started shopping at 6:30 a.m. to find the 32-inch television they were looking for at Wal-Mart. Melesia then entered the Galleria for clothes for the children.

“There was a long line to pay,” said Melesia.
