YORKTOWN, N.Y. – The annual HealthYorktown 5K Run/Walk and Community Day and Taste of Yorktown are among events in the Yorktown area this weekend to entertain mom and the family.

Friday, May 11

Relay for Life Tag Sale: Friday to Sunday. Team Hawks charity tag sale benefiting Relay for Life. 2693 Ridge St., Yorktown.

Saturday, May 12

HealthYorktown Run: 9 a.m. Second annual HealthYorktown 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run sponsored by Hudson Valley Hospital Center and the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds benefit the Yorktown and Lakeland school districts. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, Route 202.

Mother's Day Sale: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hilltop Hanover Farm Mother's Day Herb Planter Sale. Handcrafted wooden chalkboard planter filled with seven fragrant organic herbs, suitable indoors or outdoors. $35 each. 1271 Hanover St.

Community Day: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Annual Community Day and Taste of Yorktown run by Alliance for Safe Kids. Features many family-oriented activities and showcases local businesses and nonprofit groups. Also includes barbecue cookoff between Yorktown residents, civic groups and amateur chefs. All proceeds benefit ASK and DARE. Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, Route 202.

Church Music: 7 p.m. First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown Concert Series. An International Salon and Cabaret, songs of love and passion. Suggested donation $20. Light refreshments will be served. 2880 Crompond Road.

Beatles Tribute: 8 p.m. The Fab Faux, a Beatles tribute band, will make its only Hudson Valley appearance. Paramount Center for the Arts, Peekskill. Tickets $45 - $125. 1008 Brown St.
