Saturday, April 28

Wags & Whiskers: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The SPCA Walkathon and Pet Fair at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, Route 202. All are welcome.

Love in Action: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Yorktown Love in Action Clothing Recycling Day. All textile goods, slightly used. Needed: Apparel, footwear, bags, linen, blankets, drapery, comforters, accessories. Drop-off locations: YLIA Store, Parkside Corner, Route 202; The Grace Building, Underhill Avenue, JV Service Station, 214 E. Main St., Jefferson Valley; The Cleaning Exchange, 950 E. Special Olympics: 10 a.m. Vincent Miritello Special Olympics NY Miles for Medals Walk to benefit Special Olympics, FDR State Park, Route 202. Warm-up and two-mile walk, 10 a.m. Outdoor picnic/barbecue, 11 a.m. Community day for family and friends.

Titanic: 2 p.m. John C. Hart Library. Eco-Photo Explorers recall the tragic history of the RMS Titanic and the search for remains. Show will also feature discussion of the technology used to find the wreck and will examine the controversy over the recovery of artifacts from the site. Good for the whole family. 1130 Main St., Shrub Oak.
