What's Happening This Week in Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - There are several municipal and school meetings and events on tap this week, including a special forum on energy conservation.

Monday, May 21

Green Yorktown: 7:30 p.m. The Green Yorktown & Yorktown Energy Advisory Committee will be sponsoring a free presentation by Elyssa Rothe, Westchester coordinator for NYSERDA's Energy Smart Communities Program, where attendees can learn about getting a free or low cost home energy audit and incentives for home energy upgrades. Everyone gets a free CFL bulb. Yorktown Town Hall, 1974 Commerce St.

Art Show: 6 p.m. Brookside Elementary School will have a student art show, 2285 Broad St.

Concert: 6:30 p.m. Crompond Elementary School will stage its Grade 5 choral concert. Yorktown High School auditorium, 2901 Manor St.

Board of Education: 7 p.m. Yorktown Board of Education will meet in cafeteria of Mildred Strang Middle School, 2701 Crompond Road.

Planning Board: 7:30 p.m. Yorktown Planning Board will have a regular meeting. Yorktown Community and Cultural Center, Room 104, 1974 Commerce St.

Tuesday, May 22

Town Board: 7 p.m. Yorktown Town Board will have a work session to discuss a variety of issues. Yorktown Town Hall, 363 Underhill Ave.

ABACA: 8 p.m. Yorktown's Advisory Board on Architecture & Community Appearance will meet at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center, room 209, 1974 Commerce St.

Thursday, May 24

ZBA: Yorktown Zoning Board of Appeals will meet throughout the day at Yorktown Town Hall, 363 Underhill Ave.
