What's Happening This Weekend in Yorktown

Fresh vegetables can be picked from the farm fields or a farm stand at Hilltop Hanover Farm.

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - It's Father's Day weekend, and if you don't know what to get your dad, there are several free events in Yorktown that could make time together special.

Saturday, June 16

Farmers' Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A wide variety of vendors will be at the Yorktown Farmers' Market. Proceeds will benefit the Ben Franklin Elementary School Playground Committee. Located behind the Yorktown Fire Department on Commerce Street.

Vegetable Stand: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hilltop Hanover Farm. Customers can pick their own fresh vegetables from the fields or farm stand. 1271 Hanover St.

Baseball: 1-4 p.m. Yorktown Museum. Baseball artifacts on display from collector Bob Mayer. A must for baseball fans. Free. Inside the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center. Commerce Street.

Sunday, June 17

Free Concert: 6 p.m. The first show of the Summer Concert Series hosted by the Yorktown Lions Club and Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department. Jack DeVito Field gazebo. Tribute to the Eagles. Veterans Road. Rain location: Yorktown Stage.
