What's Happening This Weekend In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A hot weekend is expected, so besides cooling off at the beach at Sparkle Lake, the town pools or the pool at FDR State Park, there are a few other places to go this weekend in Yorktown.

Saturday, June 30

Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Yorktown Farmers Market returns after a one-week absence with a variety of vendors. A portion of proceeds will benefit Guiding Eyes for the Blind. The market is behind Yorktown Fire Department, Commerce Street.

Pick Vegetables: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hilltop Hanover Farm. Visitors can pick their own farm grown vegetables or visit a farm stand. Also open Friday 2 to 6 p.m. 1271 Hanover St.

Sunday, July 1

Free Concert: 6 p.m. Summer Concerts at the Gazebo, sponsored by the Yorktown Lions Club and Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department. Simply Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute, will perform this week. Behind Yorktown Community and Cultural Center, Commerce Street and Veterans Road.
