YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Many municipal offices and businesses are closed or operating on a reduced schedule Wednesday following damage from Hurricane Sandy.

Residents looking for a hot meal can head to Staples Plaza off Route 202, where BJ's Wholesale Club and Subway are open. Subway is accepting only cash.

Coffee and food also can be found at McDonald's, Applebee's, Wal-Mart, Panera, A&P, Barnes & Noble and more in the Cortlandt Town Center.

Dunkin' Donuts, Mohegan Beer & Soda, ShopRite, Pizza Hut, IHOP and a mobile hot dog stand stationed outside of Kohl's are all open along Route 6.

Nearly every business in Yorktown Heights, Mohegan Lake, Jefferson Valley and Shrub Oak is out of commission, including the Jefferson Valley Mall. A&P in the Triangle Center is open but has no lighting.

The John C. Hart Memorial Library also remains closed Wednesday.
