YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Here is a list of public places around Yorktown and Somers that will be closed while Americans celebrate Independence Day.

Several Yorktown and Somers businesses and public buildings will be closed Thursday in honor of the Fourth Of July.

Yorktown

  • Yorktown Town Hall will be closed on Thursday.
  • The John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak will be closed.
  • The Yorktown Heights Post Office will be closed.
  • The Organic Yard Waste Facility, 2200 Greenwood St., will be closed on July 4 and on July 5.
  • There will be no garbage pickup on Thursday.

Somers 

  • The Town of Somers offices will be closed. 
  • The Somers Library will be closed. 
  • The Somers Post Office will be closed.
  • There will be no garbage pickup.
