Winter Storm Nemo Causes Cancellations In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Many weekend events in Yorktown have been canceled or re-scheduled because of winter storm Nemo.

  • All Yorktown and Lakeland Central Schools are closed, including all sports and after-school activities.
  • The Valentines Swing and Dance Concert at Yorktown High School has been re-scheduled to  Feb. 16.
  • An album release party for Jessica Lynn at the Winery at St. George has been rescheduled to March 9. All tickets will be honored.
  • The Hudson River EagleFest at Teatown Reservation has been rescheduled to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
  • The John C. Hart Memorial Library closes at 1 p.m. Friday. Practice SATs scheduled for Saturday will now take place from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 17.
