Police said an officer was sent to Celoa Manor in Jefferson Valley on a report of fraud. After an investigation by an officer and a detective, police found that Pettersen forged documents provided to her employer, which resulted in her arrest and a charge of criminal possession of a forged document in the second degree, police said.

Pettersen, of Poughquag, N.Y., was arrested at the Yorktown Justice Court where she was appearing on an unrelated matter. She was charged and brought to Yorktown police headquarters for processing, then arraigned before Town Justice Salvatore Lagonia who ordered her held without bail. Petterson was turned over to the Westchester County Corrections Department.
