Yonkers Residents Arrested by Yorktown Police

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - Two Yonkers residents were arrested by Yorktown police this week in separate incidents.

On Tuesday, Nadeem Abualteen, 24, was arrested by Detective Brian Shanahan and charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a Class E felony, after turning himself in at police headquarters.

According to police, on January 12 they received a call from a patron at Staples Plaza that a suspicious male was attempting to enter parked vehicles. Officers Justin Foley and Kenneth Sgroi responded and arrested Abualteen after he was accused of possession of a stolen driver's license and a stolen credit card.

Further investigation by Detective Patsy Perrotto revealed Abualteen also possessed another stolen credit card from the January 12 incident. After being located, Abaulteen voluntarily appeared last week for booking. He appeared in Yorktown Town Court and was released on his own recognizance.

On Wednesday, Yorktown Police arrested Madeline Lucre, 42, who was accused of walking out of Macy's at the Jefferson Valley Mall without paying for three purses valued at $774.

Lucre was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor. She was arraigned before Judge Gary Raniolo and released on $1,500 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Tuesday.
