Yorktown Approves 2014 Budget

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The 2014 Yorktown town budget that includes a 1.62 percent property tax increase was approved by the Town Board on Tuesday, Dec. 17, according to Patch.com. 

The $54,811,628 budget is an increase over the 2013 budget, due to the decision to hire an additional police officer and state-mandated contributions to the town-employee retirement fund, Patch.com reported.
