YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown Assemblyman Steve Katz, who was arrested earlier this year on a marijuana charge, has announced he will partner with a venture-capital firm to seek funding for marijuana-based businesses, according to LoHud.com.
Since his arrest and subsequent plea bargain , Katz's views on the drug have changed. He voted against the legalization of medicinal marijuana last year, but voted in favor of it in June, according to LoHud.com.
Katz will reportedly seek to raise $10 million through the California-based investment and research firm the ArcView Group, LoHud.com reported.
