YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown Assemblyman Steve Katz, who was arrested earlier this year on a marijuana charge, has announced he will partner with a venture-capital firm to seek funding for marijuana-based businesses, according to LoHud.com.

Katz was arrested on the New York State Thruway in March on speeding and possession of marijuana charges

Since his arrest and subsequent plea bargain, Katz's views on the drug have changed. He voted against the legalization of medicinal marijuana last year, but voted in favor of it in June, according to LoHud.com.

Katz will reportedly seek to raise $10 million through the California-based investment and research firm the ArcView Group, LoHud.com reported.

Echoing the thoughts of Skinnyhead.....smoke a dubie, go waste taxpayer $ in Albany and then smoke another and go work on peoples pets...

So, basically this guy was a pothead his whole life. For his political career he chose to take an anti marijuana stance. Then he gets busted and becomes a "medical" marijuana advocate? Gotta love these politicians, huh? Stop getting played, Yorktown. Get rid of this clown.

I think they meant that his PUBLIC views have changed.

BTW, Daily Voice, do you suppose you can find a picture of Katz that's actually in focus? It can't be that hard to find.

And I'd love to see him voted out.
