Yorktown Cops Charge Peekskill Man With Bail Jumping

YORKTOWN, N.Y. — A Peekskill resident who failed to appear in court in 2007 was charged with bail jumping, a misdemeanor, last Friday.

Yorktown Police charged 28-year-old Osvin E. Alarcon-Cordero with the misdemeanor of bail jumping after he turned himself in at police headquarters upon learning there was a warrant for his arrest. Alarcon-Cordero originally was charged in November 2007 with criminal possession of stolen property, as well as vehicle and traffic law charges.

He was arraigned and released from custody on $3,000 bail. He is schedule to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Thursday.
