YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The Westchester County Fair Campaign Practices Committee has validated three of six complaints of unfair campaign tactics against Yorktown Councilmen Gregory Bernard and Tom Diana, according to theexaminernews.com.

Republicans Bernard and Diana, who defeated Democratic challengers Rosanne Brackett and Bob Giordano in the March 10 special election, were cited for “unfair” campaign practices after a heated ethics hearing March 23, theexaminernews.com reported.

The committee found that Bernard and Diana misrepresented their opponents’ political views in campaign material, and also did not properly disclose the financial sources for lawn signs and literature, according to theexaminernews.com.
