Yorktown Events for the Weekend

YORKTOWN, N.Y.— Here's a list of events in Yorktown this weekend:

Residents can stop by the John C. Hart Library on Saturday and Sunday for a production of "Prisoner of Second Avenue." There will be three seatings available, the first beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., second at 10:30 a.m. until noon, and the third from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The event is held in the Betty Cobb Stewart Community Room and is free to all area residents.

Hilltop Hanover Farm will hold a potluck and open house event Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will spotlight young farmers, volunteers, supporters, members, visitors, customers, local businesses and other individuals. The Yorktown Lions and the American Legion will host a Breakfast with Santa on Sunday at the American Legion, located on Veterans Road. There will be two seatings available, the first beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. and the second begins at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until noon. Tickets are $6 per child and $8 per adult; children under the age of three can attend for free, but must have a ticket. Gymboree Play & Music of Yorktown will host a fundraiser for St. Jude's Hospital Friday evening. The event will feature vendors where individuals can purchase gifts for the holidays and a percentage of the profit from the vendors will be donated to the hospital. The cost is $5 per family, which will also be donated to the hospital. Children can play at the event's facilities for free.
