Yorktown To Hold Public Meeting On Preliminary Budget

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Yorktown Town Board has approved a preliminary budget for 2014 that includes a 1.75 percent increase in the town property tax, according to Patch.com.

The $54.8 million dollar budget will add one more police officer to the force in an effort to restart the Narcotics Unit, Patch.com reported.

The Town Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.
