The synagogue is in negotiations to sell the former nursery to local residents Leonardo and Olga Mora, lohud reported. The deal requires approval because the state oversees nonprofit organizations, according to lohud.

Lohud reported that the Yorktown Jewish Center anticipates the sale will net $240,000. The congregation will apply $190,000 of the proceeds toward the mortgage on the remaining property, and will deposit $50,000 into its reserve fund account, according to lohud.
