“For the last three years it has been my honor and privilege to preside over matters before the court for the people of Yorktown," said Raniolo.

"I have been able to deliver on my election promise to bring over 30 years of legal experience, good judgment, honesty, respect and compassion to the bench. In partnership with Judge Sal Lagonia, we have eliminated the court’s backlog of cases that prevented Yorktown residents from experiencing reasonable access to the court."I am committed to enhancing the safety and security of our neighborhoods. Crime in our town is down thanks to the diligent work of our dedicated Yorktown Police Department and other public safety agencies. Working together, we have created an effective, efficient court process that allows for expeditious handling of arraignments, hearings, trials and just dispositions while putting our police officers back on the street quickly.”“Our involvement with the Alliance for Safe Kids Youth Court and the Yorktown High School Justice League mock trial team has been a wonderful window into the lives of the young people in our community. Likewise, it also has provided our youth with a better understanding, appreciation and respect for the criminal justice system. I have also made it a priority to treat cases involving young people that come before the court with a special level of interest. It is my intention that these individuals realize that they have the opportunity to change course and become law-abiding, productive members of the community. With the proper guidance, supervision and rehabilitation as mandated by this court, this has been achieved with many of our youth who have appeared before me.”“Being elected one of Yorktown’s town justices has been a lifelong dream come true. It has been a privilege to serve as your town justice for the last three years. It has been an engaging and thoroughly rewarding experience. Today, I am announcing my intention to seek re-election and to ask the good people of Yorktown to allow me to continue this rewarding and effective work on their behalf, as Yorktown town justice.”
