YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Yorktown this week:
- A Yorktown man was accused of setting on fire the house he shared with his elderly mother, then talked about it at a local bar as firefighters were dousing the blaze .
- A Yorktown Heights man, Kennth T. Covino, 55 , was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop after troopers observed him speeding on the Taconic State Parkway.
- One of the four dogs thought to be lost in the devastating fire that burned 3784 Wildwood St. in Yorktown to the ground possibly survived and may have been spotted in Cortlandt.
- A 1-year-old girl, identified as Aniyah Daley of the Bronx, died as the result of a car crash on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers, which led to a vehicle fire and closed the northbound Sprain for more than two hours.
