YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Hoping to improve things for struggling businesses, Yorktown is going to set up a board to explore industrial and commercial incentives, according to a report by The Examiner.
The Town Board voted recently to approve the volunteer board and also has plans for a tax-abatement program, The Examiner reported.
The latter will require another board vote, according to The Examiner report.
Supervisor Michael Grace said the two-pronged approach will help both established businesses that want to grow and fledgling enterprises get off the ground, The Examiner story said.
