Yorktown Police Charge Two For Possession Of Hypodermic Syringes

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y.— -- Kevin D’'Angelo of Mahopac, and Francesca Sandoval of Carmel were arrested on Nov. 5 after police found them to be in possession of several hypodermic syringes. Police responded to the call after a resident of Old Yorktown Rd. reported two individuals possibly under the influence of drugs in the parking lot. D’Angelo and Sandoval were issued appearance tickets and are due to answer the misdemeanor charges in Yorktown Court on December 8 at 6 p.m. They were both released on $100 bail.

- A 17-year-old male, whose name is not being released due to his eligibility for youthful offender status, was charged with a misdemeanor after he allegedly stole $20 in cash from another student’s clothing in the locker room at Yorktown High School. The male was placed under arrest at the scene and taken to police headquarters. He was released to a parent and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on December 1 at 6 p.m.

- Marcus Griffith, 50, of the Bronx was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and speed in zone, a traffic infraction. Yorktown police report that on October 27 at about 2 a.m. police observed Griffith’s vehicle operating above the speed limit. Investigation at the scene also revealed he was in possession of marijuana. Griffith was arrested on the charge, released and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on December 1 at 6 p.m.
