YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- The Yorktown Rotary is trying to combine two very popular interests- helping a good cause, and beer.
This Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m., the Rotary is hosting a beer tasting called "The Best and the Wurst" at Croton Point Park.
The tickets, $30 donation for beer lovers and $10 for designated drivers and kids, include unlimited beer, soda, bratwurst and baravin pretzels, the proceeds of which will be donated to the rotary's Wheelchair Fund.
The fund provides wheelchairs, in partnership with the Wheelchair Foundation , for those who are in need of a wheelchair, but are unable to afford it.
The event will feature beers and ales from three local microbreweries, Captain Lawrence Breweries, Defiance Brewery and Keegan Ales. Representatives from each will be pouring, as well as available to answer questions about the beers.
Tickets are available at www.RotaryBeerTasting.org.
