  • Two Yorktown teens were arrested and charged by Yorktown police with reckless driving, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, unlicensed operator, unsafe passing, failure to comply and operating an unregistered vehicle last week.
  • A Yorktown High School graduate and standout lacrosse player Ousmane Power-Greene, an associate professor of history at Clark University in Worcester, Mass., is the author of "Against Wind and Tide: The African American Struggle Against The Colonization Movement."
  • A new CrossFit gym has opened in Ossining just in time to work off those holiday pounds. The Foundry Fitness Center at 104 Spring St. offers personal training, boot camp and kettle bell classes, along with hosting birthday parties and a health and wellness seminar series.
  • Jessica Lynn, a Yorktown resident and country singer, has had quite the year. She performed at the Winery at St. George in a special that aired on PBS and also taped a special at Paramount Hudson Valley to air on PBS.
