YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- Support Connection was shown support at Saturdays Show Your Support Night when the minor league baseball's Hudson Valley Renegades gave them a $1,000 donation.
The game, a kickoff event for Support Connections annual Support-A-Walk, is the fourth time that the organization, which helps those suffering from Breast and Ovarian Cancer, held a kickoff event at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls.
Besides the Renegades donation, Support Connection also raised funds from their special ticket sales, and raised awareness about the walk which will take place on October 2.
"We are honored to make this $1,000 donation to Support Connection for all of their efforts locally throughout the Hudson Valley Region to provide assistance to those affected by breast and ovarian cancer, said Eben Yager, General Manager of the Renegades.
Support-A-Walk will be held on October 2 at FDR Park in Yorktown, and the second annual "Home Run Derby for a Cause" will be held on September 9.
