The honorary chairpersons are Linda Arond,  Kacey Morabito Grean and Bill Powers.  Arond is a 20-year ovarian cancer survivor and a longtime champion of Support Connection’s mission. She helped shape Support Connection’s early programs for women with ovarian cancer and volunteered for many years providing one-on-one support. With her Walk team “Linda’s Angels,” she also raised more than $50,000 to help fund the organization’s services. Grean is co-host of "Mike and Kacey in the Morning" on 100.7 WHUD radio and star of "The Health and Happiness Show." Grean has been at nearly every Support-A-Walk, greeting participants and acting as emcee for the day. Well-known throughout the Hudson Valley for her commitment to community service, Grean is a regular attendee at other Support Connection events and helps spread the word about their services. Powers is an award-winning TV producer, media relations expert and a dedicated community leader serving numerous organizations in the Hudson Valley for more than 25 years. He recently produced a powerful video about Support Connection. Powers is happy to represent this year’s “Calling All Men” campaign, which encourages men of all ages to take part in the walk to support the women in their lives. The Support-A-Walk was founded 20 years ago by local residents to bring attention to the needs of people affected by breast and ovarian cancer. People travel from across the Hudson Valley and beyond to take part in this event. Proceeds from the Support-A-Walk provide funding for Support Connection’s free, year-round breast and ovarian cancer support services.
