SHRUB OAK, N.Y. - Charles F. Brinkerhoff, a longtime resident of Shrub Oak, died Nov. 9. He was 84.
Brinkerhoff was born Dec. 4, 1928. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1954. He worked as the maintenance supervisor at the Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining, until retiring. Prior to that he was a general contractor.
Brinkerhoff is survived by his son, Jon (Stefanie) Brinkerhoff; daughter, Janet (Thomas) Spafford; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
