Anderson was born in 1922, in Yonkers, to John and Mary Degbrinner. She graduated from Yorktown High School in 1941. She worked as the assistant branch manager for People's Westchester Savings Bank until she retired in 1987. She was a lifelong member of the Yorktown Fire Department Women's Auxiliary.
Anderson is survived by her grandson, John Michael Anderson; and daughters-in law, Sue-Merrill Brunkhorst and Anne Anderson. She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar; and son, John Michael Sr.
Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Amawalk Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind and the Wounded Warrior Project. Donation envelopes will be available at the viewing and funeral service.
